Rotherham Lifestyles

This video was made over the summer of 2009 for a charity based in Rotherham called ‘Rotherham Lifestyles’ - www.rotherhamlifestyles.co.uk. The charity provides activities in a central location for people who, through disability, are considered vulnerable and in need of social contact. But despite being in existence since 2000 the future of the group was threatened by a lack of funding. The video (suplied as a short version and a slightly longer version for different audiences) was sent to potential funders and shown to other influential groups on DVD to communicate in a vivid way the beneficial impact that the charity is having on people’s lives and the devastating effects closure would bring. The message was conveyed largely by the users of the service themselves

Feedback from Rotherham Lifestyles shows that the video played an important part in securing further tranches of funding which will see them through to Christmas 2011. Rotherham Lifestyles also offer a link to the video from their website.
